It is possible to cure many types of cancer if the disease is detected and treated in its earliest stages. When cancers are detected early, they tend to be smaller which makes them easier to remove via a surgical procedure or to ‘shrink’ by way of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. However, most advanced cancers have also been treated and cured.
